I think Sony wouldn't have minded giving Shenmue 3 some stage time to show a few stills from the 2015 prototype, the short video renders shown in the chinese event, or anything that could increase the public awareness that Shenmue 3 exists and being developed, especially that Shenmue 3 will be console exclusive on PS4.

The horrible marketing/public communication performance of the Kickstarter campaign continues ...

Ali being there is a good sign. But I'm a little crushed there was no mention of Shenmue whatsoever in the keynote. The keynote is likely to be the most watched portion of the event, and a mention to spur on the PayPal at least would have been wonderful.

Especially given how casual the keynote presentation was. They were cursing, saying off the cuff random stuff to be funny, etc. Very relaxed atmosphere. In that, someone - anyone - couldn't have said, "Back Shenmue 3!" or something? Anything. Sony has been totally silent since E3, and it's worrisome.

We know we'll get at the very least some images and hopefully a teaser trailer for Shenmue III at Monaco. The fact that the LA dinner Kickstarter reward is set for June 2016 means it's almost certain we'll also see it at E3 2016. So that's 2 big opportunities in the next 6-7 months to ramp up the hype machine. Then with the Japan dinner being set for September 2016 that also means it's extremely likely there'll be a TGS 2016 showing.

A new Crazy Taxi certainly sounds good me. Personally, I want to see a revival of the beat 'em up genre, that means a new Streets of Rage or Golden Axe. Although, if nothing else a port of Golden Axe: The Revenge of Death Adder to home consoles and PC for the first time would be very welcome news indeed.
