I believe it was supposed to be between leaving Hong Kong and arriving in Guilin. It's how Ryo got there.

I recall from a past interview Suzuki said that the deleted Chapter 3 is interesting enough that he might incorporate it into Shenmue IV. I forget which interview it was from (it wasn't from anything this week) but its out there somewhere if anyone wants to clarify.

Wasn't it revealed that the Series version wasn't even a game and was just essentially used for testing it's limits and showing off what they could do?

If that's the case then I wouldn't be surprised if we've already seen the majority of what it is/was.

Yep, much later. I think from what I remember, if Yu didn't feel compelled to introduce her at the end of Shenmue 2 (due to fear of there not being a Shenmue 3) he wouldn't have brought her in until somewhere around Shenmue 4.

Oh so then did he ever reveal what would have happened at Guilin? or was that also added in at the end of two? Basically i guess what i am asking is, if any other towns or locations were skipped out?

Yes there was that village data that was recovered from the cd, that was not in the game. Can anyone elaborate please.
