Guys I thought this deserved its own thread as people will be super excited to see this now its in full quality! They just uploaded the Bailu Village Hut video from the Chinese presentation to the Shenmue 3 Official Youtube channel:



It looks so great! I'm so giddy right now! haha! You can look at it and see within 1 second that it just fits the Shenmue feeling and atmosphere! So happy!

The thing that blows my mind the most, is the fact that the whole game is going to have to match this graphical fidelity and I couldn't be more pleased. What you guys think?

Yeh it is. Yu said at the conference that he just put her in there as fan service. She isn't actually meant to be there
As the quality is now a lot better on the video, we can see her model clearly and it looks as if they just took the Dreamcast model and textures and dumped her in there lol

The eagerness to dive in this new crafted Shenmue world intensifies.

This was very Shenmue. The way the details are handled, how the camera pans around the room.
It looks pretty damn good too. Not super impressive but evenly well detailed. Everything fits together and like I said, has that Shenmue feeling.

That's exactly what I was going to say. I just love how Shenmue it looks!

The Anti-Shenmue trolls are starting their crap up again. One of them made a post in the video's comments section whining about its supposedly poor graphics. Seriously, these type of "gamers" are the reason why the industry has been going in the wrong direction in the past decade. I bet if this was something to do with one of their precious "AAA" games, they wouldn't be making a sound.

I couldn't even believe my eyes at how detailed the bricks looked considering how early in to development the game is.

This is going to be a tough 2 years to endure.

IKR? For something that is barely a prototype at present, the graphics aspect is coming along nicely. I really cannot complain at this point.

Definitely has the Shenmue authenticity and attention to detail. Can't wait until they build a town.

graphics are great imo. very nice textures, effective shimmering effect on the ground, very nice lighting. overall i'm very impressed. i also noticed that the scrolls on the wall are the same as Nocons Kids Hazuki dojo HD.

looks like its definitely going to feel like a shenmue game.

Personally I don't really care much about the graphical quality, for me its all about architecture and if the objects feel real in context. For example, that woven looks like something you would find if you really went to a village in China.

I don't know many prototypes that have great graphics. I wouldn't worry about graphics until we're looking at an actual game.

it might seem weird but i hope there's a classic version mode to make it more look like a dreamcast game.
