A lot of Chinese martial arts movies have the kicking of stools or chairs towards combatants, either by quickly pushing it along the ground at a charging opponent to trip them up, or just straight up kicking it at them. I could easily see an implementation of this in the new combat in Shenmue III.

Actually, all the way through to near the end would be a good example of how I think Shenmue III's fighting might be like, especially if the counter function is highly dynamic and the "dodge" button can be used while moving.
