Should YS use the original Shenmue logo in Shenmue III?

Pretty open and shut. I don't think the Papyrus logo will make it into Shenmue III at all. A new and better designed alternative logo that splits up the lettering will possibly appear on promotional material between now and release, but on the box and on the title screen? Original logo. I can't fathom any situation where this wouldn't happen.

What do people think about using the Japanese/Chinese characters as part of the logo, along with the English text? In that case I think I would tolerate a different font that's maybe less joined up than the original, although still it should look more sophisticated than what we have now.

I don't mind an updated logo, as long as it looks great and fits the series' aesthetics... Obviously, the Kickstarter one is a bit amateur.

I'm pretty certain that if he isn't allowed to re-use assets from previous games, he isn't allowed to use the old logo (though he already said he was changing it anyway).

Use the original font and logo. He has the license, this is an OFFICIAL entry into the series, use the real logo and typeface.

Agree, agree, agree. In the end, as long as the game itself can deliver then I'll go with anylogo they bring. How hard could that be?

People were fine with 56k in 1999/2001. Those turn of the century folk were clearly mad, we can't live by their standards.

Im not voting since there is no option for "I don't care about how 7 letters look like on a bit of paper. After 14 years of having no style of letters whatsoever I will be playing the game regardless".
