It seems that AJ mispelled the Western translation of his name. He's not known as Masada but Masuda.

It's a distinctive 90s style and I'd love to see a manufacturer (consoles, smartphones, heck even a toaster) using translucent plastics again. One day soon perhaps…

They don't want you to see the Panasonic logo on the identical PlayStation 4 and Xbox One innards.

Well done AJ...

He was involved in "Howl's Moving Castle"

A fair point, especially since modern consoles are in many ways just a PC in a custom shell. Still, a little translucent plastic never went astray. Give me see-through casing over changeable faceplates any day. There’s a certain beauty to a well-made circuit board and I find that translucent plastic really helps to bring that beauty out.

The text at the top of the page says
Ryo stepping stones QTE

It would fit with crossing the river after Shenhua.

Neat update. Though we all know something bigger is coming on the anniversary of the Kickstarter... ;)

Another stepping stones QTE? Hm... Either a nice callback to Shenmue II, or that harebrained theory about Shenmue III actually retelling Disk 4 of Shenmue II might be happening.

EDIT: Kenji Itoso was meant to be storyboarding the cutscenes. Has he left the project, or has his role been diminished/turned into a collaboration with Masada?

This is what I was wondering when I saw this. Maybe they were unhappy with the direction of the E3 video? I can't see this project being able to afford too many people.

They also introduced Masuda as a new team member, implying that he has not been on the project since the beginning. :-k Maybe Itoso really left. Anyway, Masuda's resume looks very impressive to say the least.

I mean Howl's Moving Castle, The Girl who Leapt through Time, a bunch of Detective Conan/Case Closed movies, just to name a few of the projects he has worked on. This guy is extraordinary. Glad to have him on the team and I have zero worries there.

Honestly I'm kind of glad. The E3 video didn't evoke Shenmue's cutscene style at all, though I know it was produced rather quickly.
