My old eternal question is if we'll ever see a completion to the story?

Will we get stuck for 15 years after the 3rd game? Will there be a 4th game? If so, will we get stuck for 15 years after the 4th game? Will the story complete at the end of the 4th game? Will a fifth game complete the story?

It all boils down to... will we ever see a completion to the story?

Will Ryo actually get his revenge? I mean - fight Lan Di?
Because with time it seems like this might not really happen. You know, after all that prophecy, Shenhua's spirituality, "fighting your inner evil" stuff...
I just have a fear that the story might go a different path rather than beating the crap out of Lan Di.

When Shenmue ended the thing I wanted to be solved the most was the fight against Lan Di. When Shenmue II came along it did very little to answer anything and instead brought up dozends of new questions. So there are so many to choose now...

I'd say I'm still interested the most in what will go down between Ryo and Lan Di. We're after this since the very start of the first game so I wanna see the conclusion to this the most. It doesn't matter how much the whole blablabla revenge is bad thing is going down but there has to be a proper fight between the two.

A more direct take on an answer to a question would be what really happend between Iwao and Sunming.

2) What happened in Meng Cun when Iwao was there?
3) Who are the 4 leaders of the Chi You Men and who is Tentei?
4) What do the two mirrors actually do when combined?
5) What move is the mysterious scroll from the Hazuki Dojo?

I don't think Ryo's mom is important. I think someone (Yu Suzuki?) even stated in an interview a while back that they originally had her planned as a character in the first game, but later changed the script and wrote her out. Can't find a source for that right now though.

I also remember that Yu-san stated that she will become important to Ryo on terms of memories in the future games. Maybe he remembers her when he becomes humble?
Maybe that was stated in the Shenmue Master Interview?

I share these questions and also wonder about things like the white leaf. Will it have any importance later on? What about Baihu? Will Ryo visit Hong Kong again? I seem to remember that Joy mentioned that they would see him again.
