The possible contents of the text component interests me, but I'm thinking it'll mostly be fluff updates until MAGIC. A new progress interview with Yu would be cool, so I'm crossing my fingers for that in the opening months of next year.

Really liking the inclusion of Kenji Miyawaki art into some Kickstarter updates.

It's something you learn on your own.

This is something that has been discussed in the past and the general consensus seems to be that we don't talk about it. Although with the batch of screenshots released last week we kind of jumped the gun and a few people started talking about it early. I'll be saving my comments for the actual update, probably sometime in the next 12 hours. To be extremely vague, they have to prepare the content ahead of time so they can post the kickstarter update and something on the website around the same time. Nobody can see the actual update itself, but there are other signs that they are getting ready for one.

When I first saw comments about people being able to see evidence of upcoming updates, it took me less than 5 minutes to figure out what they were looking at. But I do software & website development for a living, so I had a bit of an advantage. I've said in the past that they can easily prevent what's happening, but they might not have a reason to at the moment.

I was personally expecting a second update this month. We've been waiting to hear about the LA dinner that occurred 2 weeks ago. They still owe us a trailer, but based on comments I don't think we'll get that update now until maybe February.

Isn't a design overhaul expected soon in the website? I read something that way in the dojo. But they didn't frankly mention the return of the old logo in the last update so maybe they're still waiting for the first important opportunity to do so.

According the leak of yesterday, Ryo will find out that his Phoenix Mirror is a fake after the Shenhua's adoptive uncle provided him expertise at Phantom River. Then Ryo understands that it was his father's plan to hide the real mirror from Lan Di and decides to return to Japan in disc 2. This is why we'll get the forklift again in Shenmue III.

I was watching this early vídeo of bailu village hut and I liked a lot the high level of detail attained. Then I was comparing this vídeo with the latest screenshots they gave us in this update.

I noticed the differences between the flat bricks of this image below without bump mapping and so with the bricks in the hut, much more detailed. What do you think?
I think these screens could be of and old version or intentionally downgraded. It looks too flat and 'clean' compared to the first pic...
