It's not bad at all. I think he looks a little tan, but I'm sure that's just a lighting trick.

Now, the logo... Not sure how I feel about it. Not as bad as I initially thought, but I don't get the design intent.

Yes, the logo isn't too hot.

It looks like some sort of cliche, like a font for kung fu panda or something.

Not something really remembereable (is that a word?) about it.

They probably thought, like Yu, that people can't read cursive, so they may have demanded it to be replaced with this cheap looking logo.

Something I noticed... It may be the Shenmue trailer being displayed in the screen behind the doors ?

It could quite possibly be... That looks to be a mountainside on the screen?

The logo is passable at a distance. Just don't get too close.

The white calligraphy variant works a bit better, but we all know we want the cursive logo back.

I personally don't see how the cursive Shenmue logo is hard to read, I barely understood English when I first played Shenmue, but even I could still clearly spell out the logo. As far as Cursive fonts go, the Shenmue logo is fairly clear.

The Ryo on the banner looks the same modell except the camera angel, lips and left eye was fixed. Still don't like the modell because many face parts (eyes, nose, cheeks, skin color etc.) doesn't look like ryo.
However I really hope we gonna see some gameplay/trailer footage tomorrow. Can't wait...

I'd honestly rather they just keep the logo they want at this point. The constant changes are the thing that concerns me the most. We need some stability at this point...

It's probably some copyright issue once Yu signed the publishing deal with deep silver

I do really believe that YS saw some of those yellow news about "the world is gone to shit, 99.9% of kids can't read manuscript".

Ugh. Why are they even bothering trying to think up a new logo at this point. It’s a complete waste of time, resources and brainpower.

Some George Lucas sh*t right there; the old one was fine.

(Deep Silver Ryo shows some improvement over last week’s promo pic tho.)

I'll take this model over passport Ryo anyday.

yeah passport Ryo is the worst Ryo art wise.
everyone else in the passport disc was great but him.

i am quite happy with the result here and there is a window for further enhancement.
