Thinking back, the guy reminds me of the Shenmue 3 image found on the Dreamcast discs of S2. Can't find the image now but I remember one with an old man talking to Ryo and another one were Ryo is running past a bunch of guys hanging heads down from some kind of crossbar and exercising martial arts.

He reminds me of that old man from the Dreamcast days.

As soon as I saw the image of the new martial arts master, I thought of this concept art (with emphasis on the prominent nose), but it strikes me as too radical of a redesign to be the same person.

It's really frustrating to see how unprofessionally this was presented. Isn't it time for Yu and his team to realise that entire gaming world is watching and judging ??
I honestly want to believe that this will end up being a great game, and I keep ending up with disappointment time after time, I hope this will change with what they'll show later on ...

It's not a bamboo stick but a broom. Aparently, Ryo will have to do some little cleaning jobs again, poor guy.

About the comments, my french is terrible, but from what I understood, he didn't say that he is thinking about making a movie, but if he made a Shenmue movie, he should start from the scratch.

Lets have our expectations and feelings at real level, so there wont be any disappointment when the game comes out.

Screenshots are pretty much bad, i understand the level of budget this game have, but honestly.

It won't be the 8th wonder of the world but i hope and think it will be a true sequel to the first two installments.

It's not the look or budget of the game that neccessarily worries me, it's the fact that it's been nearly 3 years since the Kickstarter and all we have to show for it - besides the 'teaser' and a couple of goofy videos ("oh look, here's Ryo opening a cupboard and here's a fairly bad model of an old lady and we're changing her facial expressions. Big whoop") - is a few 'art' shots (because they aren't real screenshots from gameplay). It's getting old now.

The game is supposed to come out this year. Either come clean and admit the game is way off from being ready to be released or show off some actual gameplay in motion.

I'd even settle for some screenshots if they were actually showing off actual gameplay instead of just glorified game art, e.g...

But the screenshots themselves are weird. I don't know who takes them, but they feel so random and amateurish. They need better PR.

As a fan, I am very disappointed. We got three new pictures last month and only four more pictures today. Thats all we get?

I was convinced, that we will NOT see a "gameplay-video" today. But that we will get nothing new
except these three pictures is very sad.

After 32 months of development, we have only received about 30 pictures and a mediocre teaser video. Yu Suzuki did not even want to answer the question of whether the game will get released in 2018.
