We know it's 2019, but not when in 2019. It could be the Spring 2019 that many pegged, or it could be a full delay until Q3/Q4. We don't have that information.

That being said, I think you guys might as well brace for a no-show at E3. I expect absolute radio silence as we're accustomed to until August for Gamescom, possibly even Paris Games Week or PSX late in the year. I highly doubt we will see *anything* in the next month, sorry.

Yeah. E3 hopes should be as disco now, but we all knew it was a long shot anyway for various reasons.

Looking more towards the big two European shows is prudent.

im kind of curious as to why we still haven't seen even a short clip of regular gameplay yet. just a few seconds here & there of QTEs.

Never expected it to release this year, at this point it felt like an antiquated target date that was obviously not going to be met. Better to get the announcement out of the way now so we can rejoice to an HD release date sooner than later. HD this year, S3 next year. It's a perfect scenario. S3 deserves all the polish and development it can get.

I remember back in 2017 we had a discussion here where some people tried to convince me that release date 2017 is still realistic even we had zero ingame footage except the e3 2015 trailer. I think its time to think realistic and not always positive...no matter what.

o well, at least we have got sHD this year.

Hopefully this delay and the current spike of Shenmue HD preorders will generate enough interest to catch the attention of Sega. Or maybe it already has. I would love to see the inclusion of more Sega branded material (capsule toys, arcade games etc.). I hope this delay addresses that.

We all seen this coming. Anything to ensure the quality of Shenmue III is the best it can possibly be is all good with me. Looking forward to playing Shenmue HD again and seeing the enthusiasm of potential new fans that are waiting for Shenmue III.
