I asked the team about E3 and received a pretty quick response. I realised they wouldn't be able to say, but I just wanted to let them know that backers might appreciate an update before E3 to let them know if they won't be making appearance (like they did the last couple of years).

There is still time to confirm a presence, but I feel like they would have done it by now, to be honest. Unless they plan on a surprise trailer....

With the game delayed until 2019, I think Gamescom is our first real shot but I expect later than that because, while we dont know how far into 2019 it's been pushed, my feelings are it is at least late spring or summer.

Well...it would be nice to get a Shenmue HD release date to tide us over in the meantime.

Thanks. I was split on whether to post it in its own designated thread or not, since they didn't confirm anything.

I'm not expecting anything at E3 (seems Gamescom is more likely, as others have said), but it could still happen. We'll just have to wait and see.

Interesting to know that d3t are at E3. The team building Shenmue HD.

E3 is an opportunity for companies to network, so not all developers in attendance have a game to show off.

Yeah. D3T are work-for-hire, and E3 is ultimately a trade show for developers & publishers despite the flashy press conferences that are really only for the benefit of the consumer.

Besides, it's kind of moot when SEGA Europe said Shenmue I & II won't be at E3, period.
