Sort of do hope the AI-batling/lock on (mutual exclusive?) is optional, or at least implemented to not necessarily degrade an experienced fighting gamer's gameplay style preference. Definitely not a fighting gamer, but i do absolutely love VF/Shenmue engine, which I understand and accept needs and will to be different ~20 years on, but still... Surely Suzuki's genius will make this digression moot.

Still gonna do one more $60 slacker pledge, too, in a addition to an Amazon and couple GameStop pre-orders. Someone else mentioned looking like Yakuza as if a bad thing. To me, no such thing; full circle of Suzuki mentoring Nagoshi and the comparisons to Shenmue (regardless of occasionally unmerited or over stated); now Shenmue is the one invoking Yakuza
. Plus, to me most 7th/8th gen games have somewhat similar look, anyway. Also, I'm willing to bet plenty of YS staff are former Sega and perhaps even worked on Yakuza till at least 3 or 4 or 5.
