New Sega announcement soon

Sorry if this was posted before, but I found this in the latest Famitsu issue:

Sega (Okamura)
1.) We plan to release something totally new and epic at the end of the year in Japan and the West. We'll announce it soon.
2.) We are putting the finishing touches to a brand new RPG.
3.) We plan to invest in an MMORPG for East Asia.

"RPG" != Shenmue (If nobody else retains the "F.R.E.E." nomenclature for the Shenmue genre, at least we can be pretty sure SEGA will!)

"MMORPG For East Asia" != Shenmue and isn't of interest to us anyway!

In other words SEGA are not announcing anything to do with Shenmue in the near future.

However, Digital Rex might well announce Shenmue III at their E3 showing.

(And for the non-techies, "!=" is read "does not equal"

But damn...how do we know this isn't from Digital Rex, I mean, they're a part of SEGA, right? If that's the case, then fuck.

That's not what I was saying, though. Digital Rex is supposed to be creating epic, cinematic games, right? So something, "totally new and epic" has probably come from Digital Rex, and that sure doesn't sound like Shenmue III.

Exactly. And since Digital Rex is the part of SEGA which handles epic games, I'd say this isn't good.

Yeah I don't think it's Shenmue. I believe if there is any news on Shenmue it will come from the official site Shenmue.com or Digitalrex.jp

No way. Definatly not Shenmue. The key word is totally new. Its not shenmue. And when Shenmue III does come out it will be announced by Digital Rex, because they are now in charge of Shenmue productions.
