Niao Sun/Chonghua/Tyojun-new description translated by Kiyuu

(Chapter 7 and beyond)

Postby Jiezeru » Mon Feb 02, 2004 12:54 pm

I think maybe Iwao had had an encounter with LAN DI before and on seeing him, he didnt realise he was who he was.
I think Iwao would have rather died than give out any info on the mirrors because he was aware of the consequences, but when ryo got involved, it would have been morally wrong to let ryo die, if Iwao had been killed had ryo not turned up, the the info would be safe inside his head, and maybe thats why he lost, so none of the stuff with the mirror could be unleashed.

I've always been thinking Iwao is shady.

He intentionally left a farewell letter on his desk, let an ordinary old man keep his swordguard, could have beaten Lan Di but failed to protect his son. It seems like he was ready for his death and he was aware of his connection with the Chi You Men which would bring death to him. He was a key to many mysteries.

Perhaps Lan Di didn't just kill him for the revenge/mirror, but also for his knowledge of Chi You Men.

I also believe there is a "boss" figure above the four kings. It won't be logical to finish the Shenmue series by eliminating only 4 of them, there must be someone/something controlling them behind the scene.

Interesting, to me it always felt like Lan Di is being manipulated. :-k

Lan Di seems like more of a right hand man than a supreme leader.

His robes Illustrating a dragon, never mind the Chiyou, indicates that Lan Di of the leader of the Chiyoumen.

Perhaps there is some form of higher generation of Chiyoumen that isnt really active (we dont know how old the organisation is)

Think of the Godfather. Perhaps theres some "Marlon Brando" figure that watches over the organisation, but does not get actively involved.

But the dragon symbol of LanDi demonstrates his leadership in Shenmue at the moment.

If Ryo keeps charging at Lan Di when they have the chance to fight, he will never win. Ryo needs to stay calm.

the fourth ... the leader ?

Postby Ric » Sun Apr 18, 2004 4:30 am

there is a dark leader as the emperor in star wars saga ...

it's the same way in ShenMue ...
he wears a similar robe or tunique like a shadow monk ...

he is watching and makes control of the quatuor of the Chi-You-Men Organisation

Lan-Di rules what he had to ...
he only wears blue/green clothes not yellow ones ...
he definitely isn't the emperor or even the Dark one !
he is practically equal to Niao-Sun and Zimming-Hong ...
they only want to have their personal vengeance !
remember the bad endings of the 2 precedent shenmue series ...
Lan-Di knows practicly nothing ...
he only wants to take the power to the Chi-You-Men Organisation ...
he is a High Ranking Member because of his own Habilities in Martial Arts !
each of the quatuor obeys to the boss himself who is unknown at the present time ... secret is well kept by Yutaka ...!
