They haven't commented on the whole SHD thing, so even it they were working on save transfers its way to early to say.

While i would have loved this option to be included, its not too much of a downer. Plus we all understand the circumstances why this can not be.

Good on them for clearing it up though. I wish i pledged my ugly mug on one of those toy capsules during the kickstarter lol

I don't think it's likely that save transfers will be possible, but I also think it's unlikely Ys Net would announce a feature like this through Kickstarter messages. It's Sega's news to announce, if they announce it, and Sega is still keeping quiet about these remasters.

I think they'll end up making this possible, it doesn't make sense to have the games on the same plataforms without being able to save...

I know people wanted a save transfer for III but has it even been confirmed that you will have a save transfer from 1 to 2?

It's an interesting thing... what's the problem with this. :-k Technically there really should be no problems... UE can read files like anything can. I guess it could be just a matter of time, of prioritizing or of not having the save format, which would be insane, but possible... :|

What exactly do people want transferred over? I'm guessing item management and scrolls will work differently in Shenmue III.

Money, moves, items, capsule toys, relationship stats with Shenhua (i think the questions and answers you exchange with Shenhua on "Disc 4" were the beginning of the rapport system), the mysterious scroll from Hazuki Dojo, the starting date for S3 and so on and so forth. It's a lot of things actually.

I would have loved that feature, but if they really don't include it, I'm ok without it. Just hope they some day actually do disclose what move the Mysterious Scroll from the Hazuki Dojo is.

Agreed.
It's unlikely but not impossible. They might still surprise us down the road.

This is way more annoying than the lack of time skip in Shenmue I, especially that it's technically way easier to implement with little effort and coordination ...

With PC versions of all 3 games coming, even if there is no official save transfer feature, I'm sure the mod community will cook something up for us.
