i think it would be interesting if someone like a top Representative from shenmuedojo (peter?) sent a copy of shenmueHD and a letter to Conan O'Brien, asking him to play it. it would be cool to see it like this but with shenmue -

Those segments on Conan are paid advertisements, so it would have to be initiated (and paid for) by Sega's marketing.

I imagine that their marketing budget won't be enough to do something like that, that's expensive as hell.

Nah, I don't expect any themes. Avatars possibly though.

No avatars of exclusive themes for preordering or anything like that yet unfortunately, but in the past they have put up avatars/themes and stuff over a month or two later (usually for very cheap or free, as a means to build up some excitement again post launch) I can see them making an exception if they wanted to (considering how trivial this stuff is in the grand scheme of things).

If nothing happens: We can make our own avatars/wallpapers on these platforms (usually with premium themes on ps4 I keep the sounds etc on mute anyway )

We got an powerful announcement with Shenmue I and II HD for this year in April. Gearbox hinted that the 2001-Version of Duke Nukem Forever could be released, without saying a concrete date. It is a rumour and makes a big wave around the web. That would be awesome, when we get after Shenmue I and II HD Duke Nukem Forever from 2001.

In the past Sega hasn't offered digital pre-orders until after the release date was announced.

Pretty amazing what we have and continue to accomplish with the revival of this series.

It is a testament to what the connected age is capable of doing. 10 years ago it was incomprehensible to bring a group together through so many outlets(Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, websites).

Look at Brooklyn Nine Nine. It was saved within hours of cancellation by a very vocal minority not unlike our own community.


I truly believe we can bring about one of the most remarkable comeback stories in video game history with our efforts.

Anyone remember how the in Shenmue 1 on disc 1 the Japanese voice actor grunts in the battles for Ryo were left in the English version then it was back to Corey on disc 2 and 3?

I'm curious if this will be fixed since now its all going to be on a single disc.
