One of the things I'm more interested is the loading times, I hope they improved it a lot as well as voice quality.

Hopefully the voice quality audio is uncompressed. That's been a concern of mine too.

Also too, Shenmue I doesn't have enough bloom. Hopefully YS blooms the shit outta Shenmue III once we leave the cave! :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

Not yet, however the FAQ says these are new post-processing effects - which is reflected in the much subtler implementation of bloom we can see in the pre-order trailer. They've effectively been redone.

Interesting.
Assuming these features have been elegantly adjusted in the remaster, the results might just…enhance the experience this time around.

…Never letting go of my Dreamcast originals though.

I'm curious about the loading times, Adam said they will be shorter but i hope they aren't TOO short as in the screen goes by so fast that i can't read all the info provided on the screen.

The only question I have left is what about the Passport Disc? The Passport Disc hasn't been mentioned at all at this point. I wonder if it's being skipped entirely?

I'm afraid they haven't implemented the passport disk in this remaster :-k

I've put together a summary post on Phantom River Stone - no new revelations but just to bring together the main points learned from the new Sega FAQ & Adam Koralik's video plus the trailer & new screenshots in one place.

So we've seen the new bloom filter that's available as an option, but didn't they say there are multiple filters? I wonder what those will be. Maybe they'll be bringing to Shenmue I the same type of filters that were available on the Xbox version of Shenmue II. I didn't end up using them very much but they were interesting to check out.

I really hope the vile Xbox motion blur effect from the Shenmue 2 fights can be turned off. That would be awesome.

Did they? Souce? I know they said bloom could be, but they didn't directly mention motion blur.

Oh that. I’m doubt that can be turned off. It’s hard coded into the Xbox version of Shenmue II’s game engine. The motion blue you see in fighting sequence is actually duplicate character modes with different transference set. The motion blur closest to ther character has 20% transparency and the furthest one has 80% transience.

My sentiments exactly...
I hope they crack this one before release. Hell, after release is fine too ;)
