After all this time I still have yet to get a true HDTV. I'm so ashamed. Thus far I'm able to get away with it as I'm generally tied up during daylight hours and can't use the projector.

Yeah he's awesome. Probably the first video game figure/piece of merchandise I ever got. They had a few of the toys back when the movie came out. I wanted to get luigi too, but the mom wouldn't go for it. I remember when I took him home I would stick him in my shoe and act out scenes from Super Mario Bros. 3 and my mother would wonder WTF I was doing.

Wish I didn't have to post this so far down the page, since it's something I'm absolutely in love with.
Oh well.

Finally got my Assault Suits Valken model kit in the mail this morning. Had it preordered for several months, and then once it finally shipped, of course it had to spend a worrying amount of time in the mail (took two weeks to actually get here, even with registered mail shipping; fucking New York customs).
Just like the Assault Suite Leynos kit (also pictured), I likely won't get around to actually putting it together for a while, since I need more practice so I don't screw up the gluing or the paint job or anything.
But goddamn, it feels good having it anyway. Feels like the ultimate collector's item for each of the games.

Some of it not quite videogame-related, but related to models regardless, so I may as well post them anyway.

And here's some Gundam stuff I've worked on as practice.
The Zaku legs and head are fully painted. Still working on getting the rest put together. I really need to work on eliminating the "seams" where the pieces fit together. That'll just come with more practice, I suppose.
And the 08th MS Team Gundam is only painted on a few details (like the white-on-blue parts, the yellow "V" on the pelvic area, and the green and red on the head). I'm proud of the head, since there was a lot of tiny, tiny line work to do, which ain't easy.

I have to quote this because it's freakin' awesome! Be sure to send us some pictures when you finally do get around to assembling/painting.

I'd like to get this someday but ... I don't see that happening anytime soon :P
