Ryudo, your XMB is SD. Why didn't you set it to 1080p?

I just remembered that one of my two NESes needs this. Good to see it being so cheap, but I curse the day when I lost banking possibilities because now I can't use eBay.

I couldn't believe how great HDMI was when I first got a TV that could use it.

I wasn't terribly blown away when I got my first hdmi cable sadly. It looked little better than component, even on a fixed pixel display like the LCD monitor I got. Though I can only imagine the shift from composite in 480i to hdmi must be positively mind blowing. I hope you didn't get price gouged on the cable Ryudo, all the outlets seem to think those things are worth like $50, when Amazon sells high quality insulated cables even with full metal jackets for like $10 shipped.

I have a rule to never pay more than 10$ for cables. I paid 2$ that includes shipping for mine.

Always best to buy from Amazon in my experience. There have been occasions where I have urgently required a cable or lead for something there and then and have had to drop into the Maplin around the corner for me and been proper skanked. Plus they always use the opportunity to attempt to upsell shit to you which is a particular bone of contention for me. I appreciate that it's their superiors which are forcing them to do it due to mystery shoppers but it still grips my shit.

Not playing my PS3 til the cable arrives. I still don't mind some SD stuff like PS2,DC or something. But HD games looking muddy on my new TV bugs me. Same with my DVD's so hope my PS3 up converts a little. I know it won;t be Blu Ray but no way will I replace my DVD collection.

How does it happen? How come Capcom's writers create genuinely awesome things like the BIOHAZARD archives and then write such pathetic game scripts, especially the ones from RE5 and RE6?

RE's mythology is amazing, but you can hardly tell from the games themselves. Oh, the irony...

The Walking Dead series has been awesome. Shame only 1 more episode left but season 2 has already been confirmed.

It's a remake I believe of an older game and I had a look. It's a lot of strategy and does look good. Not my kind of game but looks like it deserves some sales.

I guess the model to get is the previous slim variant. The cheap components that make up the new playstation seem to be a far better deal for Sony than for the consumer, whom are left paying more or a system build that costs Sony less. I could understand it better if Sony passed some of those savings onto the consumer, but such a thing could not be further from the truth. :P
