There will inevitably be new parties to replace one of the old or both. When the U.S. was simultaneously at its democratic best and worst, they developed new parties continually throughout the 19th century. We've been stuck in the mediocrity of sameness for too long, and everyone knows it. Obama's victory was merely as exasperated surrender to the status quo in lieu of a better alternative. Don't let the media propagandists tell you that this was a huge ideological victory for the "left," or a crashing fall of the "right." That's just pure unreality. The truth is, we're exhausted. Everybody knew Romney was a plastic; he bought the nomination. Everybody knows Obama is 100% recycled plastic; he is a puppet of so many masters, incapable of innovation. This election, for all the propaganda, was actually the analogical equivalent of a hungry fat man on a couch who just decided not to get up and open the refrigerator this time. There's a good show on the History Channel about aliens, and he's playing an MMO on his laptop. This can end in one of two ways: he starves himself like a Korean, or he eventually does something, anything else. Hopefully, his bowels will soon compel him to choose the latter.

By the way, think me dim, but I only just now noticed that Mitt Romney is Mr. Fantastic.
