I'm not very familiar with the man's work (other than D2), but 42 is a tragically young age to go.

Grab me OL, I'm gonna faint and not for the best of reasons...

Venture Beat: Is the Last Guardian still a PS3 title?

Yoshida: I’m not ready to talk about that … sorry … we’ve broken promises, we are waiting for the right to time reintroduce the Last Guardian. I’m not going to say anything beyond what Uead-san [lead designer Fumito Ueda] said

He was also a musician.

I guess Ueda is part of Eno's legacy as well considering when he hired him he was just a low level animator.

He also collaborated with Kenichi Nishi from "skip" fame. They even had a blog together

So, uh, it seems like UGO, GameSpy (remember when the Dojo was with them?) and 1UP are all dead.

About that, Ueda tweeted about Eno:

He said that Eno-san and he worked together at WARP. They worked together for a year and a half, which was a short but enriching experience. He has been thinking about their time together since he heard the news. He regrets that he couldn't tell Eno-san how much their time together meant to him. Finally, from the bottom of his heart, he prays that Eno-san will enjoy his next adventure.

^It's a trade?
If so, please don't trade it.

Not really a trade. I have it #1 in a queue but i'm only mailed titles based on availability. Since it's not presently available, they're giving me Shadows instead (#2 in the queue).

Hopefully by the time I send it back, they'll have a copy sent to me.

Game designer Kenji Eno has died at just 42

I'll be honest, I didn't know of him (or his games), but that article makes me wish I had:

In 1996, he packaged condoms as a first press reward with the game Short Warp, and he made all kinds of noise when he during a press event took a plushie of Playstation's then mascot Jumping Flash and stomped it to the ground, forever burning his ties with Sony.

Is this how FPS fans are playing? I would constantly have a headache.

Dear RPG developers who also make collectors editions. Please more steelbooks. They purdy. Wish I had more. I also like the brass, copper look. Classy.

Yes please. Tired of the flimsy cardboard boxes that wear with time for CE's. If you're paying a premium for posterity it shouldn't be less resilient packaging than a standard copy.

Wii U launch hype came and went. Now PS4 Launch hype and the looming eventual Xbox 3 launch hype.

Yet they all seem rather been there done that. Maybe just much harder to impress these days due to so many amazing things we have just come to take it for grantedand not as many leaps as before. Dreamcast launch hype was magical to me. Nothing we had ever seen before like it. PS2,GCN and Xbox were big deals but had to follow after DC. Maybe just me being weird which is me being me as usual. Just every launch hype after DC feels flat.

Its a general thing for any hardware. The hype dies and the consoles generally hit a massive low after their first 6 months.

Remember when the best game coming out for 3DS was Mercenaries 3D?

Save your money and when X comes out splurge on a Pro a console and the game.
