Platinum Games would like to become 2nd party of Nintendo

If it's the only way to save Platinum, at this point, then I'm all for it. Regardless though, those sales figures for Wonderful 101 are really sad. Game looked great to me and will be my first Wii U purchase (when I eventually get one).

Have you played DmC? Neither have I. Have I played Metal Gear Rising? Yeah, really enjoyed it, but I'm not getting angry because Kenny has vastly different opinions about the game to me.

As a huge fan of the Metal Gear series, I thought Rising blew. Admittedly I'm not a huge fan of the hack/slash genre, but it certainly wasn't the game to get me into it. Horrible camera, largely forgettable cast, and dialogue that made me want to pause the game and walk the fuck away (like I did when I was watching The Walking Dead -- that is until I stopped mid vomit-inducing Rick speech).

Metal Gear Rising was one of the most disappointing games I've ever played.

Oh god I can imagine the fan backlash, just look at how upset everyone got just from hearing of Wii-U exclusive announcement for Bayonetta 2. And now nintendo wants to make all their games on their platforms? That could be the final nail in the coffin for many gamers.

in the title of the thread? I guess I may not be quite sure what 2nd party means, 1st is in house, 3rd is out of house, i honestly dont know what 2nd means, I assume some kind of closer/exclusivity deal?

Nowhere does it say Nintendo wants PG at all. Kamiya said in an interview he would like to become second party to Nintendo. Rare was second party to Nintendo as they owned 49%. So they own part of the studio not all o fit. At first Monolith was owned 80% by Nintendo and Namco 20%. So they were second party until Nintendo bought the rest of the stock making them 1st part.

makin a mountain outta mole hill like usual. Apparently, I mis-interprated the topic title. No i didnt read the link, I usually dont unless im particularly interested, and seeing how I have never played a PG game, I didnt bother. Some of their games interest me though.
