I hope it works for all you, but if it does ill flip my shit. What would Shenmue fans have to do to get Shenmue 3 after that? 1000 of us show up to the corporate office to protest with signs and banners? Camp out walk on walstreet style?

As much as I'd like more Shenmue games, Yakuza is just an easier sell mainly because the games are already out there but just need to be localised.

How many times have we tried to protest to sega only to have it fall on deaf ears... Sega just doesnt seem to be arsed with the fans feedback to games and series they think are questionable. Hope to god it works...

Just announced: Ryu Ga Gotoku Zero: Chikai no Basho. A rough translation would be Yakuza: The Perfect Place.

More footage and details will be shown at Sony's TGS press event next week.

Even though it doesn't look likely we'll get to play this game. I still take interest in these games. I still love seeing the characters stories unfold and the overall Japanese setting. Eventually a fan-sub will be online..

If it's a prequel, I would personally hope for a Kunio/River City-style tale of Kazuma and Nishiki as early-teenage roughs, skipping school and knocking the tofu out of bigger kids that think they're hot shit. I love that kind of stuff. Such a uniquely-Japanese "genre" unto itself.
Bonus fun: it would have to take place in the late-80s or early-90s.

I'm surprised they haven't hit a wall already to be honest. Ishin was only in development for a single year!
