Will I be able to play shenmue 3 in my computer?

I know that the minimum requirements haven't been defined yet but still i would like some help on experts on this matter as I am pretty much a layman when it comes to this:

I have a Toshiba Laptop:

Core i-5-2410M CPU @ 2.30 Ghz
4 GB RAM
64 bits operating system
GPU NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M

Last game i played on this laptop was mass effect 3 and it worked fine.

Yes, you'll be able to play the game. You may have to lower the resolution and lower the graphical settings to get the game at a playable frame rate, but you'll be able to play it.

I wouldn't count on it. Even if your computer will be able to run it, it probably won't be a great experience.

It also depends whether you'll be upgrading your computer in the next 2.5 years. A lot of people who have a 3-4 year old computer today may have upgraded by that time for other reasons/

I am kind of curious as well. I may have to upgrade my computer a bit before then, hopefully they are still making nice AM3+ socket processors (or I can atleast upgrade to a better one than I have now) graphics card will always be able to upgrade, maybe need a more powerful PSU.

What I really want to know are what resolution options will be available in Shenmue 3, what kind of general settings/mods there will be for the PC version. My gut is telling me to play this on PC for some reason.

I can't see Shenmue III pushing any graphical boundaries, so I wouldn't be surprised if they're nearly identical. Obviously, if they take advantage of anything like the Nvidia PhysX whatever it'll be better on PC for the little details. Overall they should be very similar though.

Really, AM3+ should already be dead, so I can't imagine there will be any more releases for it.

That should give a general/initial idea of specs, but until we get the game in our hands, its hard to say exactly

And I disagree, I think Shenmue 3 could be one hell of a graphical/hardware hungry power house, just as the first 2 games were. Its really hard to tell at this point, if we a get detail level similar to Shenmue 1 and 2 but on current gen hardware well... excuse me while I go change my soiled knickers.

I would take mittz advice and start saving for a new laptop/pc/PS4 by the time the game comes out. First compare the specs I linked from the unreal engine website, that should help give you an idea if that laptop will be able to run Shenmue 3. BUT alot can happen in 2 years or so, there is not guarantee by then that laptop will suffice, I would start saving just in case.
