Wow, looking back at this thread there were people that actually thought I was the Twitter poster. I don't know how they came to that conclusion but I must say that I played along with it very well :D

Have a 7 day time out. When you come back, try to be less annoying.

Do we know anything about YS drinking habits while working at sega ? That might shed some light to it.

Have you ever had Japanese Whisky?, it's hard not to get a drinking habit with that around.

Fuck it's something else.

I had a bottle of Hibiki 17 (I think I finished it while playing Yakuza 0), and I bought a yamazaki and a regular hibiki a couple of months ago, now I only have half a bottle of hibiki

We should keep track of the bottles in YS desk, and maybe call bill gates in case he needs something else. Just a thought.

Sega haven't funded Shenmue 3 for the same reasons they haven't greenlighted sequels to Jet Set Radio, Skies of Arcadia, Space Channel 5, and Sonic Adventure. They do not believe that the sales potential is greater than the cost of developing the game.

I mean, sure you can accept that Shenmue came from the Dreamcast and Saturn era and that Sega feels a lot of animosities for developers and games of that era, and you wouldn't be completely wrong. But the most basic reason is that of money. If Shenmue 3 were to have extremely high sales of 2.5-5 million dollars (it won't) SEGA would for sure open their eyes and be more helpful for the future of Shenmue. As it is right now, they let Yu borrow the Shenmue license, sit back, and watch from afar without having to really pay any development or marketing costs.

If SIII sells well, like millions upon millions, you'd better believe they'll give IV another look. That's pretty much where we are. The Kickstarter was more than enough proof the hardcore fans are willing to put their money where the mouths are, but SIII's sales will really make or break the future of the franchise. I think it will sell extremely well solely because of hype and I think PC sales will further help us.

What really upset me is that Sega have not helped a shit promoting Shenmue 3. They haven't done anything to spread the word of Shenmue 3 nor even the kick starter page..

Why would they? I'm sure the failure of Shenmue helped bury SEGA.

Because...

Sony: Die monster. You don’t belong in this world!

Sega: It was not by my hand I was once again given flesh. I was brought here by Sammy who wished to pay me tribute!

Sony: Tribute!? You won't re-release Jet Set Radio Future on digital platforms, and you pulled Jet Set Radio from the App Store and Google Play!

Sega: Perhaps the same could be said of all religions…

Sony: Your words are as empty as your soul! Mankind ill needs a savior such as you! They need Yu Suzuki!

Sega: What is Suzuki-san? A miserable little pile of secrets. But enough talk… Have at you!
