How did you first come to Know about Shenmue?

I Remember Reading Issue 11 of the Official UK Dreamcast Magazine and it had a 2 page Preview of Shenmue. There werent many screens and the Magazine dident know a huge lot about the game but what i read sounded amazing and the screenshots showed the amazing graphics, From that point on i really wanted that game, And i got it the day it came out. (p.s: The proper Review in Issue #14 of ODM made me want the game even more!)

Nice Topic, I just saw a boxshot of shenmue in a magazine, and a brief descryption. I immidietlietly knew that Shenmue would be an amazing game.

Read an article in a magazine, heard from a friend who was all hyped up about it. To be honest, I really can't understand the impulse that lead me to actually buying the game. :shock:

Maybe it was the promise of great graphics, but that's something I rarely go for.

I first saw the review of shenmue while reading Official UK Dreamcast Magazine. They gave the game 10/10! After seeing the rolling demo. I soon got it.

yeh i still have that issue with the review, its Issue No.14 if im not mistaken. and the demo disc had that great shenmue video

Summer 2001- I'd decided to buy a second hand console, I very nearly bought a N64, but instead bought a second hand DC with Shenmue, Crazy Taxi and a few copied games for £50. I'm very glad that I did!

Back when it was first shown in the news pages of CVG,a looooooooooong time ago.So old in fact,that there was a review of Turok 2 for the N64 in it.The rest is history......
