That is one ugly guitar. It looks too much like an Ibanez.
I can't really go for the style of his arrangement either, in all honesty. Sounds too much like typical "sincere"-and-maudlin noodler-who-wants-to-be-Vai-or-something stuff, but that's down to my personal preference (and boredom of the guitar) as much as it is cynicism. I think his lines (for example in the introduction) could be more imaginative (to my ear, those little licks felt too familiar to say it's the first time I've seen the video - I would have personally made a brief diversion to a whole-tone scale so as to stay sympathetic to the mood but provide harmonic variation), but regardless, it still functions well in that particular harmonic climate, and in terms of its strength as an arrangement (if that's not too generous a term for the addition of an instrument), it works, and his playing is quite clean.
