You could always unplug the Ethernet cable. I have no broadband and by extension no xbox live connectivity and my boot times are fast.

It's normally plugged into my Roku. Just once in a while I plug it in the xbox to get demo's
Doesn't matter now anyway my 360 pad broke and can't get a new one so whatever

A few months ago there were rumors that the next console from Microsoft should be named Xbox 8, and the reason was that it would fit well with the launch of Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 Now, Fusible tell that Microsoft has started the hunt for URLs associated with Xbox 8, and among them are Xbox8.us and Xbox8.org

If true it just shows yet again MS just doesn't understand marketing. Ok yeah Windows 8 Windows Phone 8. Xbox 8? Really?! Is it so hard to come up with a whole new name or just Xbox 3

XBox is a successful brand so why change the name? And i doubt they will end up with XBox 8 but wont go xbox, xbox 360 then xbox 3.

Same way sony will always use PS and who knows now Nintendo might sadly stick with Wii

Nah its clear its coming. And more and more games are being moved to next gen Thief 4, Mafia III, Just Cause III and im calling it now GTA V will not be on the current consoles.

I don't give a fuck if it was announced tonight, I'm gonna continue to deny it out of fear that my 360 will overhear, go all suicidal, and make me shell out for another one.

But yeah, I know it's comin soon. 343 practically said that Halo 5 will be a launch title and Halo 4's gonna be the 360's swan song. What really pissed me off about them is that they were saying that Halo 4 will reach the pinnacle of the 360's capabilities. So, what, they're just gonna reach the peak of the console's performance and then that's it? No barriage of immense games, just half-arsed shit churned out while everyone focusses on next gen? Dick eds.
