Its more of a love hate relationship. if i ever met the people at Techland I'd give em a pretty stern talking to.

It has a ton of potential, but its mostly wasted by bad design and feedback loops.

Still piecing together time to finish RE6. Almost done. Still like the game alot.

^ have you tried co-op? A buddy and I are looking to get that going in a few weeks. Debating whether to get the standalone game or the anthology.

Co-op makes the game in my eyes. I had a blast playing co-op through the three main scenarios, but then once it got to the single-player-only Ada campaign, it just didn't feel as fun (ironically, Ada's scenario is -- as far as I've gotten -- much closer in style to the old RE games that everyone pines for; puzzles, slower pace, limited ammo). Still have yet to finish it.
And I'd say just go for the standard edition. The anthology would be amazing, if not for the fact that it's just got RE6 on the disc, and then a bunch of DLC vouchers for the rest of them. It'd be an amazing collection if it actually had all of them on-disc, but alas, that's not the case.

Yeah I did the co-op in RE5 and it was a LOT of fun. That's why RE6 is pretty much an assured buy.

Unfortunate that the previous games in the anthology are DLC-only. I'm hoping that by the time I'm ready to buy the game I'll get a decent price on a second-hand version. Wouldn't trust buying a used game with codes, after all.

Never heard of this RE6 anthology edition. Shame it's US only as it's a series I want to try.

They'd probably all feel much better on the consoles they originally came out on anyway. The first three all look better using the PS1's more "limited" hardware (I think there was a conversation about it recently). Can't imagine they're very expensive either. And Code Veronica, RE0, REmake, and RE4 should all be pretty easy to get a hold of on the Dreamcast/Gamecube/PS2.

0-3 are the only ones you can't get on the 360 (from the main series, at least), and they're defo easy to get on the Gamecube anyway.

RE 2-3 on GCN is hella pricey. 60-100$ Better to get them on PSone.

The GC version might technically run better, but RE4 on PS2 has a bunch of worthwhile extra content. It's a tossup that just comes down to personal preference, really.
And I prefer extra content over a few smoothed out jaggies, and the cutscenes being totally in-game.

Wii version has that content. Also better controls and looks better than the PS2 version. Also the cutscenes were not in game on the PS2 version. They used GC cut scenes. If you had a costume change would not show on the PS2 version

Oh, sorry, I thought you said the Gamecube version, not the Wii one.
"Better controls" is debatable though, since not everyone would prefer pointing at a screen over using a standard controller.
And that's what I was saying, that the cutscenes aren't in-game in the PS2 version. It was a weird sentence, so I probably wasn't clear.
