You can change the controls in the setting menu in the game. I always changed them to match FFIX since that was my first FF on a console.

As for the analog the game came out before the dualshock controller so your stuck with the D pad.

You have to hold down circle to make Cloud run. You're not forced to walk everywhere. That would just be ridiculous.

They did release a patch back in 97 but no one downloaded it so they took it down in 99.

I remember when I played FFVII the first time, I actually changed the controls, because circle was the main execute button and I basically changed X and circle because I was more used to it that way. I remember that fucked up certain button presses and controls in certain parts of the game too. Or rather the original controls got reverted back to default during certain parts of the game, and it made it difficult.

Finally got done with Oblivion so moved onto Far Cry 3 a few days ago.

It's quite over-rated, isn't it? Not "shit", in my opinion anyway, but not exactly anything special either.

"Boring but addictive" is how I like to describe Oblivion. Almost as if it puts you under mind control telling you that you're having fun, but deep down you know it's not true.

Started RE6 with a friend, did the first two campaigns with Leon before calling it a night. It's quite fun as co-op and the game itself isn't nearly as bad as I'd been expecting.

While the PS d-pad isn't the best I find it far more conveniently placed than the analogue sticks so I always end up using it.

Make sure to change your targeting to laser sight. For some reason its not by default. Then its more like 4 and 5 were in that regard.
