Meant to put this in this topic.

Also finished Dragons trap. Love that game but fucking hard. Not finished PDZ yet

Chorro Q is um .. Weird. I know these cars are popular in Japan. The game is aimed at a younger audience. The controls are a little floaty but it's not bad. This feels like a game meant for Dreamcast as it's so vibrant and quirky.Segata maybe thinking "the fuck did he send me..." I am thinking the same now. I only first tried this game a few min ago despite owning it for a few weeks.

Educate me on that first game there, Ryudo. What is it, exactly?

It's a scrolling shooter. It's pretty good, with great graphics and nice-looking levels and whatnot. It's mostly just notable because most people seem to love the music, and because it actually has some semblance of a story (unusual for a Genesis shooter). Really pretty intro sequence too.

Anyway, over my little vacation I actually played around with a lot of games. Mostly handhelds, since I normally (with some exceptions) don't go into them too deep unless I'm separated from my actual consoles.
I beat Gravity Rush once again, this time finally getting around to the extra DLC missions that I hadn't tried yet. Really great stuff, and it all just reinforced why I loved the game so much to begin with. Of course, playing through the story again also just brought back the issue of how many questions the game's ending leaves you with, so here's hoping for that sequel sometime soon. I think I read something about Gravity Rush getting some GotY award or another in Japan, and Toyama stating "I'll do my best with the sequel," so I suppose that could be seen as a bit of official/unofficial confirmation there.
Also played a lot with that Pac-Man & Galaga compilation on 3DS. Surprisingly great stuff. Pac-Man Tilt is a fun little puzzle/platformer which feels equal parts Sonic 2 (specifically Casino Night Zone) and New Super Mario Bros.
On that note, I also played a bunch of New Super Mario Bros. I normally wouldn't touch it, but my fiance wanted to play something with me, and since her nephew had scratched the hell out of her Rayman disc, we settled on Mario. It's not bad, and I'll admit I had fun, but that fun was mainly due to the fact that I was playing it with my fiance. If I were to play it by myself, I can't imagine I'd be all that interested.
I also started Devil Survivor: Overclocked and played several hours in that. The english voices are a little hit and miss, but the game is still great. Strange that they didn't utilize the 3D function for anything other than the intro though (which actually looks pretty damn nice in 3D). You'd think it wouldn't be that hard to do the rest of the game in 3D as well, since it's nothing but sprites, but oh well. Still a great game, and the inclusion of voice acting makes it surprisingly easier to keep paying attention to the story.
Also started in on, of all things, Final Fantasy IV on PSP. I'm actually enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would, and have covered more ground than I anticipated. Still impresses me just how good a handle SquareEnix had with presentational value on the PSP. Whether they put out the "best" games on the system is debatable of course, but everything they put on the system looks and sounds phenomenal, and FFIV is no exception. The story is actually really good so far too. I always thought that FFIV would have been kind of a bore from everything I'd seen, but it actually manages a few twists early on, and kept me paying attention the whole time I played. Might just have to finish it (and there's even more incentive to do that, since there's a ton of extra content on the PSP version, in the form of the new Interlude and After Years sections).
Last but not least, I restarted Kenka Bancho just for fun and got surprisingly hooked on it, and I legitimately started in on Virtue's Last Reward.
It's hard to say how many of these games I'll actually keep on with at the moment. I'm terrible with juggling a bunch of different games at once, so I'll probably just need to focus on one then move on to others later.
Still, been having a blast with all of them.

Thanks.

I beat Gravity Rush last night. Game was phenomenally good. Really, really enjoyed it. It's pretty much unbeatable on the Vita now, I think. Since I got it free from PSN+ just makes the whole thing even sweeter. The storyline is typical of Toyama, the guy just makes some of the most crazy, convoluted storylines {with some similar motifs as with his other games), but this one instead of being menacing, was really charming. The atmosphere in this game is just brilliant and the game just sucks you in. I really liked the beat 'em up combat and being able to travel anywhere on the map by flying around. I enjoyed leveling up Kat, meeting all of the characters and walking out from the experience with so many questions. It's nice to play a game that makes you want to know what happens next, the sequel hooks don't feel pointless, since the universe this game takes place in is so mysterious anyway, as are the characters.

Cannot wait for the sequel to be announced. And yeah, it won the Japan Games Award which Toyama was the recipient for. Dude has gotten into my top 5 favourite game designers now, no doubt about that.

Also been playing:
Stuck in Digital Devil Saga (PS2) in the final dungeon, the regular enemies just kick my ass, I mean damn, they are tough.
Devil Survivor Overclocked (3DS), a few hours into it now. Game hasn't been too tough, so far, but I can sense a difficulty spike coming.
Black Rock Shooter (PSP) - the soundtrack just kicks all kinds of ass. It's really retro and very nice to listen to. Fans of 32 bit OSTs, check this one out. The game itself is really good too, really enjoy the shooting. It's almost but not quite an Action RPG, it's more like a shooting game with RPG elements thrown into it. The storyline is nothing to write home about. Really enjoying this game at the moment, anyhow.
Keep playing Yakuza 4 on and off, will probably dedicate time to it this weekend and play through Tanimura's story, then I'm guessing it's Kazuma's last.
Game of Thrones (PS3) gotten a few hours into that, as well. It's giving me that fix, since there was no episode last weekend. The voice acting can be pretty cruddy, the presentation could have been better, but I actually really enjoy the combat in this one. It's in the same style as Dragon Age, but with some refinements to it and more varied scenarios. Really liking this game so far.

In the same boat as Orange really, playing loads of games at once, but I'm totally fine with it.

I've found myself going further and further into Kenka Bancho at the moment. I'd played it a bunch previously, but never actually "beat" it (which kind of requires multiple playthroughs and some trial and error, if I'm not mistaken). I'm starting to consider it one of my favorites on the PSP, truth be told. It's kind of Shenmue-lite is a few ways. Nowhere near as detailed as Shenmue, of course, but walking about town, taking in the sights of a Japanese community, and engaging in the occasional street fights here and there all feels a bit reminiscent of our forum's namesake (though with a much lighter, more humorous attitude). I'd almost forgotten how much I loved the game, but it's all coming back now, and even stronger than the first time I played it.

Hahah its definitely great to know Japanese because not only for games but my job and teaching my son Hikaru. My girfriend really helped me understand it very well, and cool thing too is that there are English schools and places in Yokohama so I won't forget my English as well. hahah
