Was written by a reporter who had complete access to everything at Millwall for a whole season. It's a great read even if your not a Millwall fan. Shows how much football can mean to the fans and also how much it effects the players lives. He wasn't afraid to paint a few players in a bad light which they very much deserve.

Yeah, I usually read his articles in Life's a Pitch, not bad. That actually sounds like a Tottenham book I read over the summer, on the 1972 season when they ended up winning the UEFA cup. The times of Bill Nicholson, Martin Peters, Martin Chivers, Pat Jennings and all that lot. It was great. I'll definitely give yours a go.

David Clayton, Rodney Marsh, Paul Lake, whoever, whatever role, whatever era. For some reason our books are always highly praised for bein such good reads (although that's probably due to our overly dramatic history and overly loyal supporters... Except those who sit in the Colin Bell Stand...)

Yeah, I was quite interested in the one about Paul Lake when it came out (about a year ago was it, already?)
Such a weird and sad story, but I guess it happens in every club...

Can't complete passes, when we do we think we can pass it into the net, defence is shocking, riding our luck way too much, can't cope on the back foot, panic under pressure, turn into an unorganised mess when only three players are in our third. Vinny looks shit, Silva IS shit, Hart's too cocky, and only Yaya, Lescott and Tevez look like they can carry on from last year. Everyone else are a transfer window away from questioning why they came here. We got told to put the term to bed, but it'll always remain... Typical City.

yes! Hart does carry too much swagger, think its your squad size? too many big ego's, on paper they should all be starting.

That's not the case at all. If anything, they just want to prove emselves that little bit more. Besides, everyone who comes here knows that Mancini uses a rotation system, and that it's essential to be able to compete on all fronts. Hell, WRC'll tell you that's what fucked Spurs up last season.

If anything, the size of the squad is so big that the likes of Sinclair seem a little timid, like they're afraid of playin that final ball because of how much pressure they're under to deliver. It's still a massive ask for a player to make such a huge step up and both defend a title and challenge the European elite (and then there's domestic trophies on top of that)

The new squad will gel, there's no question of that, but the squad's suffering more from a major imbalance in confidence as opposed to astronomical egos. Just coz Hart's a little too confident for his own good, doesn't mean everyone else is.

I gotta admit I have been a little worried that we have started with 2 wins and 3 draws. Fair enough we haven't been beaten yet but we have been lucky not to have been, the passing we played at Arsenal yesterday was awful. David Silva has not been the same player he was in his first season at City, last season he was crap and it's carrying on this season...much like Hernandez at United, he has pretty much been shit after his one season wonder in the first season. Mancini is fussing around with these new formations and I'm not too sure why yet, I don't see why he can't just stick with what worked last season...he's a good manager but I gotta admit some of his tactical decisions bewilder me sometimes. Time will tell but they need to start winning asap, and not linger on defeats like Madrid which we were foolish to give away.

He's had to come up with a new formation because they figured us out last season. That's when we hit the downward spiral, they realised that we can't operate on the backfoot.
