I saw this old school Shaw Brothers movie last night called "Heroes of the East". It was very entertaining as it showcased different martial art styles from China and Japan. A perfect blend of action and humor. The main star is Gordon Liu otherwise known for his role as the elder master "Pai Mei" in the Kill Bill series. You can watch the entire movie below on YouTube with the captions setting turned on for English subs.
@Peter Have you ever seen The Conversation? Enemy of the State references it enough that it almost seems like a sequel. Its not as fast paced or action oriented as Enemy of the State, but still a great film. If you haven't, Check it out!
Basically 33 small movies in one. Features some big names, but there wasn't anything reeeeaaallly special. I guess the ones I enjoyed more were from: von Trier (who I really don't like as a filmmaker), Polanski, Cronenberg, Suleiman (who I didn't know that he directed) and Loach.
Ohh yea i seen the Town, it was a good show. It was a long road, but he did win back my respect after Daredevil and Pay Check. His direction is as good as his southie acting. Thats what he should stick to.
