The Magdalene Sisters.
I think it's a good film, but although I have no personal experience of it, I suspected while watching it that the the girls in those laundries actually had a much worse time than depicted, my suspicions supposedly confirmed by Mary-Jo McDonagh.

Well unless i stopped paying attention

Who kills the kids mum that makes him the Rainmaker? Old Simmons. If so that would never have happened without him being sent back to be killed in the first place. And the only reason he is sent back is because the Rainmaker wants all Loopers killed because the death of his mum.

If he was never sent back the Young Simmons would never have ended up on the farm meaning him and his mother would have been safe.

I've seen both Taken 1 and 2, they're pretty ok, both competent in what they do.

Then I watched In Bruges, which was good I guess, though not as special as it could be perhaps. I felt like it could have gone way better given the premise, but the movie was very good nonetheless.

Last night, I watched Rashomon, and I'm certainly glad I did.

Much like Bergman's Persona, it made me feel like a mere mortal when compared to these geniuses. After watching the movie, I've read some stuff about it and there was just too much that went right above my head.
I've never been too bright when it comes to symbolism or hidden meanings, but these type of movies are just far beyond my reach. I'm glad I watched it, but I am certain I haven't gotten from it as much I could/should have.

I'm watching Yojimbo right now (pause to pee, actually), and I feel like it has much more of a story to tell. Rashomon felt more like a study about human nature (again much like Persona) rather than a tale itself.

I'm not that big on reading, so I think I'll skip the book.
Have you read it?

Several times. I love it.

The word "book" might be a bit of a misnomer, though. Its probably more of a short story. I suggest reading it cuz you can probably finish it inside of 20 minutes. So even if you're not a big reader, which I wouldn't consider myself either, it should be worth it if you liked the movie. Also, since its so old its very easy to read online for free legally.

Closer.

An hour and fifteen minutes into it and it feels like it's barely starting. But there's some good dialogue here.

Cheers Rakim, I got my hands on the book online and put it in the iPad (so far the only use I have for it is reading) and it was definitely worth it.
It's an interesting story, rather well written and it actually takes perhaps 10 minutes to finish it, which for people like me is just perfect.

In fact, it made me like the movie a bit more, it really is a fantastic adaptation!! I loved Mifune's take on the robber, he certainly went for it and it paid off.
Great recomendation!!

Yesterday I've watched Yojimbo and there isn't much to say that hasn't already been said. Great story, great direction, great movie.

Skyfall. I can look past the bad guy being a blatant rip off of TDK's joker because this is the first Craig Bond to feel like a Bond film to me and its now set up to have the old Bond feel to it [Q, Moneypenny and gadgets].
