Is that really how you remember it?

Much like Bergman's Persona, it made me feel like a mere mortal when compared to these geniuses. After watching the movie, I've read some stuff about it and there was just too much that went right above my head.
I've never been too bright when it comes to symbolism or hidden meanings, but these type of movies are just far beyond my reach. I'm glad I watched it, but I am certain I haven't gotten from it as much I could/should have.
I'm watching Yojimbo right now (pause to pee, actually), and I feel like it has much more of a story to tell. Rashomon felt more like a study about human nature (again much like Persona) rather than a tale itself.Rakim wrote:Have either of youse read the book? I'm not that big on reading, so I think I'll skip the book.
Have you read it?

The word "book" might be a bit of a misnomer, though. Its probably more of a short story. I suggest reading it cuz you can probably finish it inside of 20 minutes. So even if you're not a big reader, which I wouldn't consider myself either, it should be worth it if you liked the movie. Also, since its so old its very easy to read online for free legally.
