Not only my fave Final Fantasy Song of all time. This version blows my mind. Everyone has a song or two that when you listen it never gets old for how beautiful and captivating it is. Takes you to another world and brings out the emotions. This version is with vocals and my god it adds so much.

Two songs in one. The first is by Uematsu, the second is by Mitsuda. Amazing how much talent collaborated on this soundtrack (it also has work by Masashi Hamauzu and Junya Nakano). Truly a forgotten gem. I only wish I could get the cd itself.

Goddamn.
You know, I switched to the Raz avatar just because it's a cool little piece of artwork, but I actually haven't played Psychonauts in years. Glanced at this topic wondering what I could post next, looked at my avatar, and got the bright idea to look up Psychonauts music.
I couldn't remember any off the top of my head. But as soon as I started listening to one of the songs on youtube, it came rushing back as hard as possible.
Dammit all, I love this game. And it only took the first few notes of the summer camp music to make me remember just how much. It may strictly be "background" music (not necessarily the "hummable tune" type), but I spent a lot of time hearing this either way, and it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
Really need to play this again. Granted, I played through it about ten times already back in the day, but I want to have that experience again. Such a great game.

Maybe I've just spent too much time surrounded by shit like Drake and Chris Brown but i actually respect this as a rap song. It also sets a really good tone for GunGodz, because without having even played it I knew it was the main theme just from seeing screenshots. Might not be everyone's cup of tea it gets the job done.

Many games are hyped so much by nostalgia they can't live up to the claims. Rarely does a game do so. Chrono Trigger no doubt lives up.

Still need to play through and beat that. I mean, I played through it before and got to the very last Lavos battle... but I think I still needed to level up a lot if I wanted to stand a chance, and I just didn't feel like grinding anymore at the time. I'd seen everything else the game could offer up to that point, and I guess I just wasn't in the mood to randomly trek through it all again for exp.
There are some aspects that are still a bit blown up by peoples' nostalgia, I think, but that doesn't keep it from being one of the absolute best RPGs of it's time. The whole thing just exudes quality. And the music is absolutely a huge part of that.
Really want to get back to it at some point.
