Yeah, I read about that. That's all that's stuck in Japan? No serious DLC is missing, right?

An online multiplayer map (which no one plays) and a seperate weapons pack and Ninja character, also for online only.

I beg to differ.

Fuck me, Dead Souls mode is hard. One thing I never noticed playing on Hard the first time around is the lack of checkpoints. I'd already died twice before facing the first Meathead. That's still technically in the tutorial stages, kids..

He's implying that you DO have time for stuff like that.

I know he is implying that, but I don't have time for online multiplayer. I'm too busy playing games offline, with the exeption of VF5FS, but that's online versus, not online multiplayer.

Not too sure if this is confirmed yet or not, but its looking like a fully playable Virtua Fighter 2 will feature on the arcades of Yakuza 5? At least thats what i can make out from the lame translation by Google:

Seriously just forget about Shenmue III, and play Yakuza folks. They have ripped everything else off, so no surprise Nagoshi is porting real arcade titles into Yakuza. Oh and fuck it, why not make it a Suzuki title to really rub it in.

^If that's true, then Nagoshi reads my thoughts! When I started my Y4 run, I was all like "Why on earth they won't add something meangiful to the arcades? I'm not asking VF4: Final Tuned, but they could at the very fucking least add VF2 or VF3."

Please, let it be true! I'd love VF2 integrated into Y5.

EDIT: That site claims the following:

Version 2.0 and 2.1 are added (2.1 because of game balance adjustment). This transplantation has the full support of the VF staff. When additional data is downloaded via PSN, 2P confrontation will be possible off-line.

Bigger, better and far more badass. The gameplay graphics are on Y4 level, though.

Two things I have personal problems with - the hunting part makes me feel really bad for that poor bear that was minding his own (natural) business and I don't like Kazuma's face this time around. He looks deformed, instead of simply looking older.

Other than that, it's gold.

Looks incredible.
I actually like how Kazuma looks now. I think they've made an effort to simply make him look more realistic, which they've absolutely pulled off. In earlier games, it did always strike me as a little odd that certain other characters look incredibly realistic (even ones who aren't based on real people, like Akiyama), while Kazuma still looked like a fictional videogame character for some reason. Whatever they've done to him, he certainly looks like something closer to reality now.
And while the battle graphics themselves don't look all that different from Y4, it is pretty easy to see that the animation has been stepped up a bit. Earlier games always looked a little rigid in their movements, but everything looks a little more natural now (yeah, this is only based on a few short, flashing clips, but it still stood out to me).
Couldn't be looking forward to it any more than I am now. Most anticipated game for me right now.

Same here. I already love the graphics of Y4 so the polished Y5 is a sweet deal for me. I just can't stand all this propaganda about 'redefining the graphics'.

Screw the graphics talk, though. Just look at the goddamn game. They've added so much that my head is spinning! I am serious right now. I've never seen a sequel expanding so much on the established formula.

I need this game... a feeling that I didn't have for a very long time now.
