Considering the size of Y5, no. Actually, I'm starting to get paranoid that this may not go through...

^^I've been feeling the same way. I mean, in the past it's taken them a full year to get each of the games translated and released outside of Japan, and it was done by a relatively small team as far as I know (part of the whole reason we keep getting the games; low-cost localization = more realistic expectations for profit)...
But with a game this size, who even knows how long it would take a team like that?

I hope it comes over. In fact, I wouldn't mind getting Yakuza HD next year and then Y5 the year after. Just bring them over!!

Im still thinking it will be best for me if i can get the HD remakes, play them and then re start 3.

Might jump to 4 which i belive is a separate story?

All of the games are separate stories but they mention so many things that happened in other games that you will miss out on some things. It's very much a series you should play in order.

Yakuza 4 absolutely requires that you've played 3 if you want to understand who certain characters are. Don't worry too much about the orphanage parts; if you really dislike them that much, they only last for a little while before the game picks back up to an action pace closer to the rest of the series.

It was discounted, but I still had to suck quite a few dicks for it.

I should have taken it.

I would have been able to sponsor Shenmue 3 by now.
