I'm loving Dead Souls. The narrative doesn't make any sense, but it's awesome nonetheless.

I'm happy to see that despite all the opinions I've read, the graphics are actually improved from Y4. The framerate took a hit because of it, but it's perfectly acceptable.

Also, the OST is much better this time around.

Watching those Virtua Fighter 2 screens from within Y5 and... I'm amazed by how good VF2 looks even today.

In a sense, it's the greatest fighting game ever made.

If Sega stop localising Yakuza, it's been a hell of a ride

I just finished with Y4's story.

Really, from a game that changeed one character narrative into four characters narrative, you'd expect it all to be longer. The worst thing for me was the ending. It feels rushed and there's a few totally idiotic parts about it.

That stack of yen bills stopping a bullet? Tanimura just waiting for others to finish their fights? Daigo suddenly becoming the bad guy and then suddenly turning into a good guy again? Hana getting so thin so fast? God, that was so stupid.

I'm also shocked to see the synopsis for Y5 now. As far as I know, it's the same writer, but Y5 seems like it's pretty much throwing Y4 away. I know they want a reboot, but it's still a direct sequel. I guess we have a case of split personality here.

Some of the swag included in the Emblem edition of the new PS3 special edition. I'm not one for merchandise unless I could make proper use of it, but I'd love one of those controllers and USB sticks..
