This reminded me! I couldn't say anything at the time because Soul Hackers wasn't announced yet, but Kaneko definitely still works for Atlus. We know because we had to get his approval for a few things in the game. Your guess is as good as mine what he's up to these days, though.

I think we will get it, it's just looking at how long Overclocked has taken to come to us (still not out yet, same for Persona 4: Arena). It's a bit of a nightmare waiting so much longer for these games.

Still waiting on an announcement for Persona 2: Eternal Punishment though... I traded my PS1 copy a while back thinking we'd be getting the PSP version eventually...

Soul Hackers is my favorite game in the series next to Persona 2 Tsumi, beyond hype for this. It'll be my first experience playing it in my native tongue without bothersome guides and such.

Was it? I know he also worked on the original Persona which came out before Soul Hackers, but I'm not sure of his exact role.

It's ironic that as much as I love his compositions, Persona 2 Tsumi and Batsu have my favorite music in the series yet he had nothing to do with them. Soul Hackers and Persona 3 aren't far behind though, so I can't wait to hear this gem again. Have my AT w1000x's ready with a digital amp, not messing around with the 3DS's horrible audio cap.

Oh yeah, he did, you are right. I think I heard that Soul Hackers was the first game he got to compose by himself, though (Persona 1 had a few composers, iirc).

You are right though, Persona 2 has some of the best music in the series. Didn't the original Shin Megami Tensei series composer die in a car accident, or something like that?
