how many times a week does it freaking snow there

This is just the third time I have had to shovel. First was a week before Thanksgiving, 2nd was a week ago, and then today.

Its different every season. Last year only had to shovel a few times. Same the year before that in December. The November of the that season had the most that month had ever seen though. In the last 7 years we had the most snowfall on record and the third most. So you get seasons where you get 50-80 inches and some where you only get half that or less and only have to shovel or snowblow 2-4 times because every other time it melts on its own or it rains and the rain dissolves the snow. Or you got enough snow that the rain just made it heavier which happened today.

I remember in 2000 or some years around then it was sunny and mild in December. Not a drop of snow. Then we got some in the middle of January into February.

So 2008-2009 was the record year 93.6 inches. 2007-2008 92.6.


We are lucky though we live in a more low lying area in the city, outside the city on the outskirts they get snow when we don't even get any because its higher elevations, even a mere few hundred feet makes that much a difference sometimes. So imagine those records were even a few more inches for those areas. Like my uncle and his family live about 15 miles north of here, they made snowmen a few days ago and posted the pictures they got enough. We got none that day. All the streets were bare.

Damn I feel bad for you guys. Thankfully we have yet to see a significant amount of snow here. Definitely not enough to require any serious shoveling effort.

Goddamn, I just swallowed a peppermint candy whole and that shit hurts. I can still feel it in my stomach, periodic stabbing pains. But I know it will dissolve. On the plus side all my burps smell like peppermint.

No snow in these parts but there was so much rain last night that there was flash flood warnings in some nearby counties.

Pissed it down hard for about four days solid here, was windy and about 5-6C all day yesterday so it dried up pretty quick, was fine this morning, then came back with a vengeance about 11am until about 6pm. Fine just now. The county I live in seems to have its shit together with drainage and flood defences, 'cos apart from a few roads being shut and a few waterlogged fields (which is by design anyway), actual houses flooding didn't seem to happen very much. Massive damage to roadsurfaces though, Jesus.
