Literally lost the love for games I used to ADORE and spend hours on. Seriously games such as Mass Effect, Elder Scrolls even Gears, Call of Duty....SHENMUE (moderately) just lost the need. I find I have one game I play on, PES2013. I had a feeling it was going this way, literally would play for 10 minutes and my attention would be drawn to something else and would be like "SACK THIS" what am I doing. I see guys and gals in their 20's, 30's and older who still max out this and complete that and re-complete it as that, for me now I'm just holding out for seasonal updates to PES....what happened, and has it happened to you?

Yeah, I've kinda gone back into it again lately too. I spent a few years not caring too much about games, but decided to get a black updated 360 'cos some folk at work had been talking up a few games, I Youtube'd and read about them, and it did excite me enough to buy one. Played a few games quite a lot, then didn't play it for a while, then got Skyrim in December last year, and played a hell of a lot of it since. Downloaded Minecraft for the 360 a week or two back, but now, I've been off this week and not had that much to do, I've hardly switched it on and just can't be arsed. The new X-Com game is coming out soon though, which I am looking forward to.

Don't dwell on completion, trophies and the like.
Choose some fun, charismatic games and just try to have a blast with them.
That may help rekindle the old flame.

You can also purchase some hd remasters to remember why you loved the medium in the 1st place.

Yep, I'm there. I mostly just play Yakuza and other misc Sega games these days. Not bought a single game since splashing day one on Binary Domain and Yakuza Dead Souls at the start of the year.

I think everyone has periods like these. It's just that for some the period continues until they die ;)

I'm playing less now because I'm so busy and there's not that many games that really grab my interest. But now and then, something does and I get into a more active gaming period again. Or I sometimes feel the urge to go back to old RPG's. Many of those also remind me of the fact that some of them had amazing atmosphere and can even invigorate my interest in gaming in general.

Its really hard for me to sit down and play an RPG or something really long. I usually find myself playing Shoot-em-ups or short platformers because I don't have to spend a whole lot of time playing at once. My attention just isn't there.

DOA comes to mind, for obvious reasons, and I'm sure the Xtreme Volleyball spin off is meant to be played that way since Itagaki first imagined it.

Outside a few retail games its XBLA that's keeping me in gaming and my unfinished games. Everything else just feels like a stale repeat.
