Dude, I was 13, I'm now 30. It was a loooooooong time ago (and probably explains a lot!) so I'm not fazed by it. I've got a mate who's sister hung herself while we were at a festival last year and I made sure I chatted to him and just let him knew that I was someone who can
understand. It's tough to deal with, sure, but after a while you learn to accept it and you know how to talk to others who are experiencing it. A lot of people feel guilt - what if I was there? Why didn't I pick up on it? Was it my fault? The simple fact is if someone is suicidal then they are doing it because they can't see a way out through clinical depression. No matter how much pandering you do, it won't bring them out of it.
