What's so great about 1? It's just a ok bargain bin game but nothing worth over 20$ new.

what Fable 1 and 2? Well i like 3d action RPGs. Like I said in another thread, I loved Gothic and Kingdom of amaular which is basically the same vein. Fable 1 and 2 are some of the better PC styled action RPGs. Between Lost chapters and the original Fable 1 I've been through em about 5 times.

3, no defense, not sure how I finished it. Actually fell asleep at the computer a few times.

You have much to learn youngling. I too thought the same thing for a time, but then I researched and realized that Fable 2 (the one I am due to play next, and from what i have heard the only decent one this gen) actually ISNT on PC, and well with the things I have heard about Fable 3 (which is on PC, meaning yep they just skipped 2 for whatever genius reason) im not chomping at the bit to get my hands on it, or Journey. So I must wait out to get a xbox 360 if I ever want to play fable 2 :/

Yeah Fable II never came to PC but III did. 1 has the best story,characters and combat and II has the best world. III was poor and Journey a surprisingly fun Rail shooter.

Fable III's a lot better than people make out. Weren't brilliant, but it weren't an abomination either. And Fable II was the best. Just a damn shame it was so short.

It was a good idea, heck it was even pretty well implemented in that nothing was broken. Problem is the actual design. Even though all the technical and philosophical stuff was there it just wasn't fun to play, like at all.

It was still good. Got boring at times, but a lotta games do.

Its odd i found my self disconnected to the character because they gave him/her a voice. I think it worked better without you talking. I'm also hoping they go in a new direction and explore outside the bloodline story line which they probably will do going off Journeys story.

Yeah, the main character was a bit shit, but it was all about the supporting cast. The only thing I was bitterly disappointed about was that the humour wasn't as good as it shoulda been. I mean, they missed the perfect opportunity to pull off a proper hilarious game. Y'know, with the likes of Stephen Fry, Simon Pegg, Jonathan Ross, etc. My hope for the fourth is that they bring in Rowan Atkinson and do an homage to Blackadder.

I've now played through most of Fable III and although it's kept me engaged, it seems to be missing something. Can't quite put my finger on it. I'm usually big into story, but it has way too much dialogue, imo. Now I've gotten to the part of the game that I thought would be the end, and it's introduced a curveball that I don't seem particularly interested in. I suppose I'll get around to it eventually.

All i know is that Fable 1 was one of the funnest games I have ever played (especially after a proper smoke out) and I am honestly a bit distraught having to put off continuing that series for this long, and here I was thinking all would be well once i built my computer... but no fable 2, I was pretty disapointed about that.
