Online tests and other serious nonsense

Postby ThyDarkAngel » Mon Nov 19, 2012 12:20 pm

Let's do some online tests?
Hey, I have very little to entertain me with these days so...

This is the Humanmetrics Jung Typology Test™: http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/jtypes2.asp
The 'scientific community' seems to take it in good consideration.

My results:

ISFJ
Introvert(78%) Sensing(1%) Feeling(62%) Judging(22%)

Besides the Sensing extremely low percentage I can agree with it.

Share your results, discuss them and post more online tests.

ISTJ
Introvert(11%) Sensing(1%) Thinking(25%) Judging(1%)
You have slight preference of Introversion over Extraversion (11%)
You have marginal or no preference of Sensing over Intuition (1%)
You have moderate preference of Thinking over Feeling (25%)
You have marginal or no preference of Judging over Perceiving (1%)

as you can see I'm on the border of everything, I wouldn't really trust this test though as a persons personality is constantly changing though new experiences, I noticed a lot of the questions I would of answered differently a few months ago and I will probably answer different answers to now in a few months

Yes, it's a 'this very moment' or 'at present' type of test at best.

Coulda done with some examples to the questions, since there was more than one way to interpret some of them. Still though, I got;

Your Type
INTJ
Introvert(44%) iNtuitive(12%) iNtuitive Thinking(50%) Judging(11%)
You have moderate preference of Introversion over Extraversion (44%)
You have slight preference of Intuition over Sensing (12%)
You have moderate preference of Thinking over Feeling (50%)
You have slight preference of Judging over Perceiving (11%)

Pretty much agree with that, so musta answered them right. ;-)

You have marginal or no preference of Extraversion over Introversion (1%)
You have moderate preference of Intuition over Sensing (50%)
You have moderate preference of Thinking over Feeling (38%)
You have moderate preference of Judging over Perceiving (33%)

In general I do agree with this. This was just to see what I agreed with, but if a job interview required me to go online and do something like this, I'd probably terminate any interest in that job straight away.

This test reminds me of how online Applications now mandate answering hundreds of multiple choice questions for the better part of an hour. What a waste of time.

"When your boss is irritating, do you feel compelled to physically assault him?" AGREE / DISAGREE

"Do you feel obligated to inflict bodily harm upon your supervisor when annoyed?" AGREE / DISAGREE

"Do you feel compelled to physically assault your superior when he is irritating you?" AGREE / DISAGREE

Just... is it really necessary to answer hundreds of brain dead questions when the online app really only wants to ask around ten?

Now that I'm officially out of regular employment for life, I've actually filled quite a few of them in purposely picking the worst possible answers when I've been helpin the missus with her jobsearch. It's funny when they reply with "unfortunately, you haven't been successful this time..."

When I was looking for part time stuff a few years ago, I actually did stop filling out a B&Q app 'cos it had some sort of profiling shit on it. My housemate did it all though, and she had a lot of that type of experience and could more that likely have done the job in her sleep. She got refused 'cos she answered "Moderately" to one question, IIRC, which just reaffirmed my belief in its stupidity. All it'll make happen is people who really WANT to get a job, any job, will of course just pick all the "best" answers, even if they're really just a grumpy cunt.

yeah it's funny how these tests punish you for honesty, I remember trying to apply for a summer job at sainsburys just for it to automatically refuse me after an hour of filling that shit in

Here's another fun one: Which James Bond are you?
I was Timothy Dalton; A more realistic, gritty and angry James Bond. Suave but serious.

You are Daniel Craig

The sixth actor to play Bond in the movies promises to be a more realistic, down to earth and not so perfect James Bond, while still being a sexy womanize

You are Roger Moore

The third actor to play Bond in the movies was more light-hearted and humorous. At the same time he was a charismatic ladies man.
