that's interesting, well i must say i can understand this trend, because for my part sony got me really disappointed for all those really bad game ports, in 95% the 360 is smoother in performance and got a lot sharper graphics also the service for gaming/ online gaming is a lot better on the xbox and psn games are just a total disappointment for me (maybe a few are good), if i could travel back into the past i would buy a xbox and let the ps3 in the store shelf...
only 1 good point has the ps3 and thats the blu ray player, and that is a poor result overall

i own both a ps3 & xbox360 and i prefer the ps3 at the moment. - it doesn't scratch my discs, its free to play games online & it has a blue ray player + the xbox 360 is noisy as hell.

of course when next gen comes i'll probably buy a xbox 720 not because i think it will be "great" but because it will no doubt be a tone cheaper than the ps4

I own both (Well the ps3 was from a carboot) and EVERY game ive played in my opinion is better on the ps3 because of jjust about every reason you can think of.
But thats just my opinion we'll need a few more opinions to decide

well i talked about game ports like skyrim, cod games, far cry 2, dragon age, assassins creed... etc. if u check out comparison videos u will notice nearly every game on the xbox looks better and got a solid performance

i don't own a xbox 360 but damn i want to play good looking and working games on my ps3 but if u play dragon age origin or skyrim (before the big patch) on ps3 u know that u will trade a loudless ps3 for a freaking loud xbox 360 but you will able to play and enjoy the game like it should be

and ok online gaming is free on ps3 but also not really enjoying (well in my opinion), because of missing crossgamesupport or a good interface and also it got bad security firewall (psn hack) and so on...
yes i am a bit pissed of by sony

Plus the fact that it has more in the way of exclusives, and not just of the "done before" shooter variety. That's a big plus to me.

Wii had the most exclusives but most of those were more niche.

Still nothing beats owning all of them. It's a win win win

Usually with something to further differentiate them from the pack. Uncharted with it's climbing and cinematic nature, Ratchet with its Pixar-like cartoon style and platformer mechanics. Killzone is admittedly pretty "regular" though.
On the other hand, Microsoft's consoles are mainly known for Gears and Halo, both of which I find pretty "meh" all around.
But Sony still has Infamous, Sly Cooper, Siren, Ueda's games, Gravity Rush, Journey, Yakuza, Folklore, Twisted Metal...

I mean, I don't like Microsft's exclusives, but the PS3 has more shooters, so its the shooter console when you really think about it.

Shooters or not just depends on taste. I found more interesting games on Wii with niche RPG's and quirky titles. Out of PS3 & 360. Found the 360 more appealing with some RPG's.

I have less PS3 games then 360, but I also have almost finished all of them, and all but like 3 or 4 are exclusive.

(these days the 360 sees less and less play because of my PC, I even gave a though to trading in Dark souls and just restarting on the PC version)

I'm with Ryudo tho lol, my love of Wii exclusives isn't a secret.
