Well they did give everyone a free XBox S 2 years ago but i don't think you will get that this year. But i do hope they announce it before E3 and then use that to focus on the games.

I think E3 is far to late if someone plans to release it this year. They only have 4-5 months to show the thing off before it's on shelves. I think we may get an announcement before for one console before E3 and that will release this year while another get's announced at E3 and comes out around March 2014.

I'd laugh so hard if nothing did get announced this year.

To be fair though, they will still be relevant even if they shove the new consoles on the shelves as fast as possible (as in before the end of the year). I think the support for 360 and PS3 won't die down right away, just look at what happened to the PS2 and Xbox; they had plenty of great games really late into their life. I certainly won't be rushing out to buy the consoles right away anyway since I'm broke.

I can see Sony trying to push digital next get but not MS. [Not right away anyways]

Also even with new consoles the current ones will stay relevant simply because unlike the Wii millions will still be buying games for them. The people that bought a 360 or Wii over the last 2 months or even the last 2 years are not going to be jumping into the next gen consoles for a while.
