That interview was sad. It kind of made me lessen my hope for Shenmue III.

You can see the lack of possibility of creating Shenmue III in Yu Suzuki's eyes. And Sega keeping the license and all.

The fact that everything it's on Sega's hands it's bad news, Sega it's a mess. Sega it's not doing anything with Shenmue and probably will never do, why not selling the rights?, Shenmue has zero value this days, or close to zero.

Unfortunately this sounds familiar. And from the interview you can recognize the usual key words : if, possibility, not able to, I would like to, I want to, no concrete plans, I guess, Sega's decision. Or to summarize it in a way closer to Yu's job : if...then...else.
It really sucks that someone with such a background is in a situation like this. What is the purpose actually of Yu showing up now and then? Just for the fans, or?

I don't know if it's the reason, but I'd rather someone took their time to ensure they're presenting accurate translations than jump on Twitter five minutes after the interview with a bunch of half-truths.

Some things are worth waiting for if it means getting them right.
