Laptop won't charge! Help batt dying right now

I already did the shut down remove batt and device manager stuff. Still says my laptop is not charging.

Asus G75 Windows 7

Need help fast as this PC has a short batt life!

Have you been leaving it to charge for days on end or haven't been charging it to full power when you do?

Tekzilla said that's a myth and been doing it for 2 years (previously on a dell until october when I replaced it but this thing has been on and off the AC as I have taken it places) never been an issue.

It aint a myth, it just takes time, eating away slowly at the battery life, waiting for an opportunity to strike.

Tried this says the wear level is only 6% so that's low

Took it to best buy and they could not figure it out other than the batt as they tried a different AC adapter. I could send it in but I don't want to have it gone 4-6 weeks. Guess I am SOL keep it plugged in and never take it anywhere

Isn't that why you bought a tablet?

I had the same problem on my laptop. "Plugged in, not charging". Eventually it did charge when I got that message. Surely replacing the battery wouldn't break the bank? Make sure you choose the correct size and voltage..

When the battery goes bad, all you can do is keep it plugged in until you can buy a new one. In any case, I'd check the warranty on the laptop and see what it says about faulty batteries. Might get lucky. Even if the laptop will last for years and years, the batteries won't necessarily last as long.

If it was a week I'd do it maybe 2 but 6 weeks..ugh and if the warranty does not cover the batt. That's 90$ i don't have so for now just keep it plugged in. Since yesterday still says 95% but not charging. So not changed in a day. Just wierd

So this falls under it's not a defect but a feature
I keep forgetting how smart this PC is. Telling me when the fans are dirty. Adjusts performance based on what I am doing with 4 different moods. Well I find out Asus stops charging at 100% and once it falls below 95% it will charge again. So it's smart. I tested it by unplugging and letting it get down to 80% then plugged it back in and it started to charge. So now I am letting it get to maybe 20% and plug back in.
