I was listening to the Jeremy Blaustein interview on youtube again. Him mentioning Snatcher and touching on Policenauts has somewhat rekindled my interests in those two games.

Is Phantom Pain (or whatever it's called) gonna be a proper stealth game or a "keep away from vision cone" stealth?

From the looks of trailers, there is no "radar" this time, just stay out of sight and pick your enemies off or sneak past. And since the maps are so big, binoculars will probably play a big part in planning out your route. I'm guessing weather and daytime/night-time cycles will also play a big part in enemy patrols.

Also, Viewtiful Joe is back!
In a phone game, of course.

In one of the more bizarre crossover events in recent memory, Capcom's beloved superhero Viewtiful Joe will be a playable character in an upcoming update to mobile brawler Combo Crew.

Combo Crew, if you haven't played it, is a beat-'em-up with a gesture-driven control scheme that works wonders on touchscreens.

In our review, we said: "A frantic beat-'em-up that fuses a retro sensibility with modern touchscreen controls, Combo Crew is an often brilliant, always entertaining way to punch some goons in the face."

And Viewtiful Joe is the hero of a series of cult classic and underappreciated Capcom games, which started life on GameCube. Pocket gamers got Red Hot Rumble on PSP, and Double Trouble on DS.

I just beat Mass Effect 3 last night..... wow. I am unworthy to write a review. I must say however, that the box series of Mass Effect 1,2, and 3, which I have, feels like one big, amazing game.

In two conversations a game jam based on shenmue came up. I'm kind of interested to see what would come of something like that.

Anyone interested?

Well a group of people from various backgrounds and skillsets get together in a place. You give them a theme, and within a few days (usually 48 to 72 hours) they present a game based on that theme.

Its a good exercise for people who have been making games for years, or people just getting started. Makes you learn how to work with people and go out of your comfort zone or if making games is for you in general. I've made a ton of games in gamejams and sometimes stuff gets released like Hermit Crab in Space, Universe Within, Evoland, Stacking, Wasteland Kings and Costume Quest all came from game jams.

Was that a recent interview?

Nah, an old one from 2008 (maybe older). Still very interesting to hear though.

Got excited for a minute there especially after Kojima recently talking about Snatcher's anniversary.

I remember reading an interview with both Jeff Lupatin and Lucy Childs, may of been around the news of that Project S thing between Suda and Kojima. They would of returned to their roles if another game was on the cards instead it turned out to be a Japanese radio drama..

^I still remember Kojima going nuts on Twitter about some game getting cancelled. I still think that was a new Snatcher in the works, especially since Suda was strongly hinting at it in interviews...(Suda has said that Snatcher is one of his favourite games,) then it got downgraded into a radio drama instead of getting outright cancelled. A shame.

Just played Streets of Rage Remake. Wow! That was awesome! I haven't played something that good and fresh but oldschool looking game in AGES!

I want this. I've got a slight of the way through ME2 on PS3 (obvs ME1 isn't available singularly on PS3) but didn't understand what the fuck was going on so dapped out. I gots to get involved when I has more time. I liked what I'd vaguely experienced.
